We have learned from years of research that young children learn best through play. It is by exploring and interacting with objects, people, sounds, language, movement, and words that children learn about language and the world around them. Your child can learn the building blocks of literacy all through play. Here are some ideas to get you started.
● Sing and recite a wide variety of songs, poems, tongue twisters, etc. Encourage your child to recite and sing along with you. This rote memory helps to build sequencing skills and while oftentimes building vocabulary.
